4 spheres definition

 Hydrosphere

The hydrosphere is the total amount of water on a planet. The hydrosphere includes water that is on the surface of the planet, underground, and in the air. A planet's hydrosphere can be liquid, vapour, or ice. On Earth, liquid water exists on the surface in the form of oceans, lakes and rivers.

Biosphere

The biosphere is defined as the area of the planet where organisms live, including the ground and the air. An example of the biosphere is where life occurs on, above and below the surface of Earth.

Atmosphere

An atmosphere is the layers of gases surrounding a planet or other celestial body. Earth's atmosphere is composed of about 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and one per cent other gases.

Geosphere

The geosphere is considered that portion of the Earth system that includes the Earth's interior, rocks and minerals, landforms and the processes that shape the Earth's surface.

the volcano

 t

“What is happening?” I questioned as people tried to make their way into the carpark. As the whole world wobbles like jelly, the beastly dragon spits out it’s boiling lava. Ashes are floating up into the sky like dark murky clouds. Like the aroma of a Cuban cigar, the ashes constantly evaporate into the twinkling night sky. The night sky is still shining bright in the commotion. The mountain is covered in mouth-watering cookies and cream ice cream.  The titanium lighting which is veins in the human body. The lush green trees are swaying rhythmically in the roasting hot breeze. Low mountains are all watching the massive explosion!

the time we went to Rotorua

It was a nice Sunday morning when we decided to go on a trip to Rotorua. We were going to ride on the Luge and have a nice relaxing spa after 2 months of lockdown and nowhere to go.

In the morning I woke up tired. When I looked into the mirror, I found out that I looked as dull as a potato!.  I washed my face and looked for something to eat in the cupboard. I could not find a thing to eat so I decided to play on the PS3. While playing on the PS I was thinking about what restaurant we were going to eat for breakfast. All of a sudden, my parents showed up and interrupted me while I was first by 32 seconds. I was surprised and I accidentally crashed and every bet me and the car did a front flip.

Then my mum told me we were going to Rotorua for the day. I was filled with excitement. I rapidly jumped onto my parent’s bed and my dad insisted me to get off and pack my bag!. When we left, we looked to see how long it would take to go to Rotorua and guess how long it took-3 hours. When we arrived at the service station at 1.5 hours later, my sister and I got very hungry and then my dad decided to get some mc Donalds. When we walked into the restaurant the line was massive like a free sale for Gucci. !After a long time, we finally got to the front of the line. My dad decided to by a party pack. I got a big mac, some french fries and a hot chocolate.

the day I swapped my sister for a car

“Where is your sister?” asked mum.
“Uh mum, wait, I need to go poop,” I yelled in a rush.
I rapidly ran to the toilet and jumped out of the window and ran swiftly to the guy giving free cars away.
“Um excuse me, sir, can I please have my sister back,” I mumbled while sweating
“Hummmm your sister, she is pretty much worthless but I will still keep her,” yelled the professor.
“Why,” I questioned
“You retard it literally says once you trade your sibling I won’t give your sibling back!” shrieked the man.
“But,” it whispered
“No butts now scram before I lose my temper”, demanded the professor.
I walked home with my head down.
“WHERE IS YOUr, SISTER!” mum roared
“UMMMM,” I was lost for words.
My mum quickly took my hand and went to give the guy who took my sister a spanking.

why we should ban plastic

Mum why is there a whale lying on the beach dead?” asked Caleb`
“Oh that whale, it is because humans constantly throw plastic into the sea and it harms many animals because they mistake it as jellyfish,” said Mum. I strongly believe banning plastic is important because it stops polluting the environment, killing wildlife and you can substitute plastic with other materials.

Firstly, plastic pollutes the environment and is difficult to break down. Did you know the average time for a plastic bag to dissolve underground in 400 to 1000 years! In addition, while producing plastic bags, manufacturers use a lot of fossil fuels and natural gas which is deadly to both the environment and humans.  Furthermore, 35 percent of fossil fuels are spent on creating plastic bags. Therefore, plastic bags take several years to break down,  pollutes the environment and harms the wildlife

In addition,  plastic bags also kill wildlife as they often end up floating in the seas. According to PEW, 1 million sea animals are killed per year by mistaking plastic bags for jellyfish.  One species that is at great risk from plastic bags is the already endangered Leatherback Turtle. Turtles often have mistaken floating plastic bags for jellyfish as their main food. Nearly 700 species, including endangered ones, are known to have been affected by plastic bags in the ocean. Besides, kids can not have fun in the ocean because it is full of rubbish. According to Simon reddy,  director of PEW, 13 million metric tons of plastic were dumped in the ocean every year.

Finally, we can make some little changes that might help the world. For example, you can use reusable water bottles instead of plastic ones. Another example is using reusable bags instead of plastic bags. Countries like Africa, Kenya, New Zealand and South Africa have stopped using single-use plastic bags.  Another change we can contribute to the environment is to stop laminating paper. The average time for laminated paper to decompose underground is 3-5 months.

In, conclusion, I believe plastic is very harmful to the environment because it takes years to break down, and manufacturers produce plenty of carbon dioxide in the process of making plastic bags. In the next ten years, every ocean will be filled with plastic and if you don’t want this to happen we need to stop this.

stung by a blue bottle jelly fish

When, where, why, who
As our family got to Mystery island, we boarded the lifeboats to get to the island. The water was sparkling like diamonds. Approaching the island, I could hear the sounds of waves crashing onto the shore and the laughter of people.

After we put on our snorkel mask, we plummeted in the water. When I put my head down, there was a school of fishes under a boat. As we went closer to the coral reefs, there were a variety of fishes. The most fascinating fish was a shimmering blue fish swimming around the reef looking for food. We found a very interesting fish with blue on its head and red and yellow on its body as we explored more into the ocean. As we went deeper into the ocean, I  saw two Great Trevallys swimming past me and its fin nearly scraped my tummy.

Suddenly, I felt a burning pain on my wrist! It was a blue string wrapped around my wrists. It was severely painful. I quickly unwrapped the tentacles and swam as fast as I could to my dad and told him I got stung by a jellyfish.  I sat on the beach trying to embrace the pain.  As the pain started to increase, I rubbed sand onto the area to try to relieve the pain. The pain started to become unbearable and I was taken to the medical centre by my dad. At the medical centre, they treated my sting with white vinegar.

As we went back to the beach, my wrist started to feel better. The pain gradually subsided.  We went to the wharf and were amazed by the amount of fish swimming below. It was like a swarm of bees flying in the same direction. My dad took a deep breath and dived into the water to swim with them.

After snorkelling, I decided to jump off the wharf. I nervously stepped onto the edge of the wharf and was hesitating about jumping off the wharf. I closed my eyes with fear and held the rail and let go. When I leapt,  I could feel the blood rush through to my feet.  As I submerged into the water,  I was filled with adrenalin. I desperately wanted to do it again because the feeling of flying was addictive. As I walked across the wharf, I was thinking of what pose to do when jumping off. Suddenly,  I saw a group of fish and decided to jump into them. I jumped with my eyes closed and felt the fin of the fish zooming across my feet. It was thrilling.

Overall the jellyfish sting still hurts but hopefully I won’t get stung by a jellyfish every again. It was a very bad incident. Mystery Island was picture perfect!!!!!!!
