stung by a blue bottle jelly fish

When, where, why, who
As our family got to Mystery island, we boarded the lifeboats to get to the island. The water was sparkling like diamonds. Approaching the island, I could hear the sounds of waves crashing onto the shore and the laughter of people.

After we put on our snorkel mask, we plummeted in the water. When I put my head down, there was a school of fishes under a boat. As we went closer to the coral reefs, there were a variety of fishes. The most fascinating fish was a shimmering blue fish swimming around the reef looking for food. We found a very interesting fish with blue on its head and red and yellow on its body as we explored more into the ocean. As we went deeper into the ocean, I  saw two Great Trevallys swimming past me and its fin nearly scraped my tummy.

Suddenly, I felt a burning pain on my wrist! It was a blue string wrapped around my wrists. It was severely painful. I quickly unwrapped the tentacles and swam as fast as I could to my dad and told him I got stung by a jellyfish.  I sat on the beach trying to embrace the pain.  As the pain started to increase, I rubbed sand onto the area to try to relieve the pain. The pain started to become unbearable and I was taken to the medical centre by my dad. At the medical centre, they treated my sting with white vinegar.

As we went back to the beach, my wrist started to feel better. The pain gradually subsided.  We went to the wharf and were amazed by the amount of fish swimming below. It was like a swarm of bees flying in the same direction. My dad took a deep breath and dived into the water to swim with them.

After snorkelling, I decided to jump off the wharf. I nervously stepped onto the edge of the wharf and was hesitating about jumping off the wharf. I closed my eyes with fear and held the rail and let go. When I leapt,  I could feel the blood rush through to my feet.  As I submerged into the water,  I was filled with adrenalin. I desperately wanted to do it again because the feeling of flying was addictive. As I walked across the wharf, I was thinking of what pose to do when jumping off. Suddenly,  I saw a group of fish and decided to jump into them. I jumped with my eyes closed and felt the fin of the fish zooming across my feet. It was thrilling.

Overall the jellyfish sting still hurts but hopefully I won’t get stung by a jellyfish every again. It was a very bad incident. Mystery Island was picture perfect!!!!!!!

‘Sugary drinks should come with warnings from dentists’’ - We agree with this because sugary drinks will first have layers of skin ripped off and then you will get cavities.
