Why we should join the culture group

Last week we wrote a persuasive text on why we should join a culture group
Why we should join the culture group

Do you think we should be a part of the culture group? Well i think it is extremely important because you get to understand other people's cultures, in addition it builds teamwork skills and you can be more confident on the  stage. Hopefully by the end of my speech you will think “I want to join a culture group in this instance.
Good teamwork skills   paragraph 1

My first reason why we should be in a culture group is because it enhances our teamwork skills. By joining the group, you are part of a team ,therefore you need to be a team player.  Another reason why we should join the culture group is that you can contribute well with people who you don’t know that  well. Encouragement of others is another benefit with comes with good teamwork skills. Therefore, when are older  you won’t be scared while having a meeting or talking in front of big groups of people.

Confidence

Secondly, the cultural group significantly helps you to make new friends and build self confidence because you can adapt and interact into other people's culture easily.  By joining the culture group, you will be exposed to people from other cultures. Therefore, you will understand their action or speech while interacting with them.    On the other hand, people from other cultures will be more  comfortable talking to you. This will also enhance your interpersonal relationship.

Value and  view
Last but not least, different culture will change your value and view of life. When you stay within your own culture your view and value are limited by the people around you.  Hence, mingling with different people from different cultures will make you think differently- hopefully for the good.  For example some cultures  focus more on academics in while others focus more on extra curricular.

In conclusion, joining a culture group should be compulsory at all schools because it helps you build teamwork skills, confidence and broaden your value and view of life

colour poem-green

last week we created our own colour poem.
WALT:use figurative language in our writing

Green

Green sounds like rushing leaves blown by the gusting wind.
Green reminds me of the HDS children in uniforms running under the burning hot sun.
Green reminds me of swishing seaweed in the deep cerulean sea.
Green looks like grass swaying majestically in the morning dew.
Green means go!
Green taste like ripe feijoa munching in my mouth.
